Horizontal cylindrical tank sitting on legs, blocks, etc.
Horizontal Tanks
Tank with vertical cylindrical walls supporting a fixed dome roof
Dome roof tanks
Horizontal tank with greater than 10% surface area underground.
Underground storage tank
Well insulated bottle designs, found at heavy industrial facilities, hospitals and gas processing factories
Cryogenic Liquid storage Tanks
The transport lines are usually underground, industrial sites may be above ground. They carry a variety of materials.
Distribution Systems
These tanks are built to withstand MAWP’s of 25.4 to 100 psi.
IMO Type 1
These tanks are built to withstand MAWPs of 14.5 to 25.4 psi. Transport whiskey, ETOH etc
IMO Type 2
These allow freight containers to be secured in stacks and lifted by cargo handling equipment.
