MK16 Primary Electronics Flashcards
Flashing green deeper than 33 FSW?
O2 greater than 1.45
Flashing red deeper than 33 FSW?
O2 less than 1.15
Alternating red and green
Only one sensor indicates low/high O2
Alternating red and green with all 3 sensors within 1.15-1.45?
Low primary voltage
What voltages are limiting factors when dealing with the primary battery?
Voltage <8.0 with voltmeter and after 12 hours of rest
Voltage <7.5 on secondary display
What is max voltage on primary battery?
9v
What is the operational battery life of the primary battery?
120 hours
How many hours are left when primary display indicates alternating red/green and O2 sensors are within normal limits?
3-5 hours
What is the normal operating sensor voltage for the O2 sensors in ambient air?
22mv to 28vmv
What height may cause damage to O2 sensors
Greater than 3 feet
Is there a shelf life for O2 sensors?
No, as long as mv is within 22mv to 28mv
How long must you wait before performing O2 sensor test once removed from packaging?
60 minutes
How does the O2 addition valve work
- Uses a piezoelectric crystal
- When voltage is applied, the crystal deforms causing the valve to open
What rate of O2 is added from the O2 addition valve
5 liters per minute
What happens if an electrical failure occurs with the O2 addition valve?
The valve fails in the closed position
