Purpose of candidate pressure test?
Determine if candidate can adapt to increases in atmospheric environment without adverse reactions

Procedure step by step for Dive Candidate test?
- DME conducted by Navy Medical Officer in accordance with MANMED CH.15-102
- Candidates and tender enter chamber and pressed to 60FSW at rate of 75 fpm or less
- If you can’t make it down, we’ll come back up to the surface
- Stay at 60 for at least 10 min
- Ascend following 30 FPM rate
- Remain at the chamber for 15 min, then at the facility for 1 hour (15 minutes counts towards 1 hour)
