What is the definition of missing Persons

A

Any person who is reported to be missing and their whereabouts is unknown. There is fear for their life or safety.
R - reported
U - unknown whereabouts
F - fear for safety and welfare

What are the four categories for missing Persons?

A

Missing overseas- kiwis overseas gone missing and reported from NZ. Foreigners in NZ gone missing and reported from oversees

Involuntary- missing against their will

Lost - disorientated and want to be found

Voluntary - someone in control of their actions and acted willingly

A

Zone - what is the environment? Is it their normal surroundings?

Age - are they cognitive aware and able to be alone

Circumstances- is it unusual, suspicious or dangerous
