if pt vomits, omits, or has diarrhoea with 2HR of taking CHC, POC take another pill ASAP within time period

• > 12hr for desogestrel
• > 3hr for rest

Answer 3

• take as soon you remember
• take next pill = usual time (2x a day if needed)
• needs protection till 48hr of pills are taken correctly (7DY for desogestrel)
• need emergency contraception if UPSI happened between missed dose + 2DY after restarting meds

• late start after HFI (>9 days since last active pill)
• 1 missed pill (48-72 hours since last active pill)
• 2+ missed pills (72 hours since last active pill)
