- increases blood flow to penis
- still requires sexual stimulation

- avanafil
- sildenafil
- vardenafil

PRN/regular low daily dose to allow for spontaneous activity
- tadalafil

6 doses at max dose with sexual dysfunction

- flushing
- dizzy
- nasal congestion
- migraine
phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors CI
- takes nitrates
- hypotension
- unstable angina or stroke
- angina during intercourse
- pt who shouldn’t have sexual activity
what is priapism and what to do
- erection lasting longer than 4 hours
- medical attention
