Missed approach procedures Flashcards
What are the missed approach steps with OEI?
1.Simultaneously:
Call “Going Around”
Push TO/GA (A/P will disengage)
- Call Flaps 1
- Manually conduct G/A: Rotate to G/A attitude (Approximately 13º)
- PM calls “Positive Rate”
- Call “Gear Up + Check Thrust”
- Follow F/D’s (As climb rate increases, F/D
pitch commands maintain a target speed.) - At ACCELARATION HT (DA+1000ft):
Call: “Flaps UP”
When pressing “TO/GA”, the F/D roll commands hold current ground track and F/D target speed is displayed on IAS/Mach display: F/D pitch commands 13 degrees nose up. As climb rate increases, F/D pitch commands maintain a target speed set on MCP.
NOTE: Any time the airspeed is below the top of the amber band, limit bank angle to 15°.
What is the call after the PM says “Positive rate”
“Gear up, CHECK THRUST”
What is the speed tolerances for an OPC/IPC/RTP during a single engine go around?
IAS: Vref15+5 (Not below) +10 knot buffer. (Suggest always staying 5kts above minimum of Vref15+5.
eg:
Vref flap15 = 145kts + 5knots =150 knots 150 kts. +5 knot buffer = 155kts. Do not go below 155kts during go around. (Same for Engine failure at V1)

- At 400 ft call for roll mode.

Call: “Bug up” - Clean up
