How should a Missed Approach Go-Around be conducted?

A

1 Initiate a climbing turn towards the runway of intended landing.
2. Then carry out the published missed approach for the original instrument approach procedure.

DO NOT accelerate above max circling speed for aircraft category until on the missed approach track.

At MDA, what actions do you take to fly a Circling approach?

A
  1. Turn 45º towards the circling area (HDG Sel).
  2. After 45 Seconds, parallel RUNWAY track.
  3. Fly downwind with Gear down, Flap 15 (10º OEI)
  4. Abeam LANDING threshold : Select FLAP 25, set speed & start timer.
  5. After 10 seconds, CALL flaps 40, set Vref & start timer SET TDZE.
  6. After 10 seconds, turn towards downwind and start ROD (V/S) @ 600fpm.
  7. Intercepting final: Aim INSIDE edge of runway.

Normal Configuration = Gear DOWN, Flap 15 @ 150kts (F15 SPD) 150 or F10 gears up. 150-160kts with OEI.
