Information Architecture
the process by which content is organized and made readily available to users

-identification and definition of site content and functionality
-the underlying organization, structure and nomenclature that define the relationships between a site’s content/functionality
Navigation
the system that lets users move through a digital interface—such as a website or app—efficiently and intuitively
Includes:
-global navigation
-local navigation
-utility navigation
-breadcrumbs
-filters
-facets
-related links
-footers
-fat footers
Findability (UI)
Users look for the item
Discoverability (UI)
Users come across the item
Prototype
An early model or simulation of a product used to test and validate ideas before full-scale production
Wireframe
Visual representations of a web page or app interface, stripped down to its bare bones
Local navigation
type of navigation that is contextual to the user’s current location
