Basic c section post op care
- Obs every 5 mins for 30 mins
- Temp, pulse, BP, RR
- Facial 02 2-5 L
- IV access and fluids
- Catheter - urinary output
- Analgesics
- Anti emetics
- VTE risk
- Stockings, clexane, enoxoparin
- ?Antiobiotics
- Wound care
- Water only 2-4 hours post op –> if water tolerated 1 slice dry toast/biscuit –> 6-8 hours post if all tolerated can start eating
- Check for bowel sounds and flatulence passed
- 12 hours post op do FBC and mobilise
- Discharge for standard c-section 3 days
