What is the function of potassium?

Examples of potassium.
Bananas, sunflower seeds and potatoes.
What is the function of iron?
Increases body oxygen capacity meaning it helps anaerobic activity by delivering oxygen to the muscles.
Examples of iron.
Liver, lentils and eggs.
What is the function of calcium?
Increases bone strength which decreases your chances of developing and injury.
Examples of calcium.
milk, whole grain and green vegetables.
The benefit of potassium while in sport?
Regulates body temperatures to stop overheating.
The benefit of iron while in sport?
carries oxygen to the muscles while exercing
The benefit of calcium while in sport?
increases bone strength meaning the athlete will have a reduced chance of developing an injury (vitamin D and calcium work together).
