Q

what are the negative effects of dehydration?

A

The blood thickens meaning less oxygen can get to the muscles, slower reaction times meaning an increased chance of injury and the body temperature increases as excess body heat cannot be lost by sweating.

Q

What are the benefits of hydration?

A

It lubricates joints meaning they can move freely, it allows the body to sweat to stop the body from overheating and makes the blood plasma thinner so the blood can work effectively to transport oxygen and nutrients to the muscles.
