strong, powerful govs. and protection of merchants
what religions would be affected by the silk road and how?
buddhism (mahayana would be expanded/changed, created gods/bodhisattvas) & christianity (more lavish-robes made out of silk, etc)
what made the sea roads possible? what were advantages of it?
chinese junk ship, compass, predictable monsoon winds, astrolabe. sea roads faster, cheaper, and could carry more.
why did mongols greatly value merchants? what actions would they take in regard to them?
valued merchants because they made them money through TAXES
who rose after the fall of the mongols?
ming dynasty by bringing back confucianism + looking at old chinese govs

exchange of cultures, ideas, religions, & technology. europe benefitted most

introduced bathing daily, paper money, glasses, coal (black rock), chinese noodles, and postal service

internal conflicts in other countries (instable governments)
what were the effects of persia on the mongols?
mongols slowly disappeared into persian culture (islam)
what were the major advantages of living under mongol rule?
freedom of religion, culture, and way of life
