First people to the Americans
Historians believe that the 1st period in the Americas arrived here from Asia. While following and hunting animal herds they crossed an ice bridge from Asia into what is today Alaska. They migrated South over many years settling and establishing various Native American tribes and civilizations.

Early American civilization that existed in present day Mexico. Aztecs believed human sacrifices were necessary to please the gods

Native American tribe that lived in present day New York State

Name of Native American alliance that formed in late 1500s, made up of tribes that existed in what is today NYS: Mohawk, Seneca, Cayuga, Oneida, and Onondaga

European explorer who sailed across the Atlantic Ocean to the Americas. His trip established permanent contact between the eastern and western hemisphere
