What are the two categories of histological pattern of lymphosarcoma?
diffuse - cells form sheets,
nodular or follicular - rare, slowly progressing

What causes hypersplenism syndrome?
spleen sequesters blood, seen with hematomas in dogs

imparied vascular flow, barbiturates, acute congestion, acute splenitis, acute hemolytic anemia
What are causes of a uniform splenomegaly with meaty consistency?
chronic infectious dz, low grade septicemia, prolonged hemolytic anema, lymphoid hyperplasia, tumor, extramedullary hematopoiesis, storage disease
What are causes of splenic nodules with a bloody consistency?
hematomas, incompletely contracted areas, vascular neoplasms, acute splenic infarcts
What are causes of splenic nodules with firm consistency?
nodular lymphoid hyperplasia (common in old dogs)
neoplasm
granulomas
abscesses
What are CS of tuleremia in cats?
oral or lingual ulceration, splenomegaly
