A
TPA - recombinant technology but normal product of endothelial cells
streptokinase - streptococcal culture, risk anaphylaxis and not fibrin specific
urokinase- renal cell culture, not available in US
mechanism of action all 3:
-activate plasminogen forming plasmin
-plasmin cleaves fibrin in blood clots
-plasmin also cleaves fibrinogen and several clotting factors (V, VII, IX, XI, XII)
