Ocular Lens
It helps bring the specimen into general focus
Coarse focus knob
It is essential for obtaining a clear and sharp image of the specimen
Fine focus knob
Focuses light from the light source onto the specimen.
Condenser
Provides the necessary illumination for viewing the specimen.

These lenses are mounted on the nosepiece and provide various levels of magnification, commonly 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x.
Obejctive lens
Located on one of the ocular lenses and allows the user to compensate for differences in vision between the two eyes.
