Q

How do you write correlation results?

A

Strong/weak positive/negative/zero correlation

Can have numerical answers - strongest is 1.0 or -1.0 and the weakest would be 0 to 0.2/-0.2

Q

Weakness of correlations

A

Cannot draw conclusions about causal/cause and effect relationships from a correlational study because no IV is manipulated and DV measured like in an experiment, two covariables are only analysed

Q

Strengths of correlations

A

Practical - useful when experiments would not be practical
