internal factors are influences that originate inside or withhin a person, can be organised as biological and psychological factor
external facotrs
external factors are influences taht orginate outside a person.

involve all those influences associated with mental processes
stress
is a psychobiological response produced by internal or external stressors
- range from daily stressors which ten to be perecived as challenges that can be usually overcome through to traumatic events which are much more disturbign adn challenging
anxiety
state of arousal involving feelings of apprehension or uneasiness that something is wrong or something unpleasant is about to happen
- considered a future oriented response as we anticipate impending misfortune, danger
fear
an appropriate present oriented and short-lived response to a clearly identifiable and specific threat
- expediting it for a prolonged period can indicated the presence of an anxiety disorder
phobia
persistent and irrational fear of a particular object, activity or situation which is consequently either actively avoided or edured with marked distress
- fear is rational response when confronted in certain situations
fear response
someone with a phobia is typically out of proportion to the actual danger posed by the object or situation, thus it is consider irrational
- consequently, pl with phobia will actively avoid the stimulus or endure it with marked distress
