What are the three different types of discrimination?
Interpersonal: Directly perceived discriminatory interactions between individuals e.g. Hate Crimes
Institutional: Practices and Policies that treat some people differently to others. Carried out by state or private institutions e.g. women earning less than men for the same job
Structural: Systemic as it exists across multiple domains in society- Totalities of ways society fosters discrimination

Define Social Capital
Social Capital is networks and shared norms that facilitate understanding and co-operation within and between Groups. The strength, and extent of relationships relate to the structural components.
They generate trust and cohesion between people and a positive, supportive view towards the social environment.
Explain Bonding
Type- Horizontal within groups
S.Component- social networks
C. Component- social efficacy, shared values, mutual trust and norms of reciprocity
Level- Micro (individual, family, household)
Explain Bridging
Type- horizontal between communities, and organisations with the power to make decisions on the dist. of goods and services
S.Component- access to public services and amenities
C. Component- participation, sense of belonging, decision making capacity
Level- Macro (local, national, international relationships)
Explain Linking
Type- Vertical connections between institutions and members of community, between groups with different levels of power or social status
