Takeoff abort FO procedure

A

Remove feet from rudder pedals and respond, “YOUR AIRPLANE”
Maintain wings level with the ailerons as appropriate to the wind conditions
Advise ATC of abort, if applicable
Request emergency equipment, if desired
Accomplish the “TAKEOFF ABORT CHECKLIST” on the IAC

What will cause a takeoff abort?

A
  1. Windshear encounter
  2. Engine fire or failure
  3. A/F Arm message fails to illuminate on ED
  4. Takeoff torque not obtained on either engine
  5. HGS failure, “TO WARN”, or loss of HGS symbology during takeoff below 500 RVR when the runway centerline is not in sight
  6. Exceeding engine limitations
  7. (Red) Master Warning
  8. Takeoff warning horn

Engine Failure/Fire During Takeoff (PF)

A

Accelerate to Vr and rotate to Flight Director command bars or 10 deg.
When positive rate is seen or heard, call “GEAR UP”
Climb at V2, PITCH HOLD and TCS pitch
At acceleration height, 1. Command “PUSH ALT”
2. Level off and accelerate
At V2+10 call “FLAPS UP”
Accelerate and initiate climb at open or solid bug
Command “Push IAS, set (Open/solid bug IAS)
Call “ENGINE FIRE/FIRE CHECKLIST”

Engine Fire/Failure During Takeoff (PM)

A
After rotation:  
Check for a positive rate of climb and state, "POSITIVE RATE"
Select gear up when desired
At acceleration height, call "ACCELERATION HEIGHT"
When directed, push ALT
At V2 + 10, call "FLAP RETRACT SPEED"
Select flaps up when directed
At open or solid bug speed:
	Call "SINGLE-ENGINE CLIMB SPEED"
Push IAS
Set open or solid bug airspeed
Verify ALT SEL
Conduct Engine Failure/ Fire Checklist from IAC
