What does “Commencement of flight” mean?
Means the point when an aircraft begins to move under its own power for the purpose of preparing to take-off.
If a failure occurs after the commencement of the flight, taxiing out can you continue?
Yes but check the MEL to find out if it will be a Go, a Go-if or a No Go. Assess the situation and return to stand if necessary.
What is repair interval A?
No time specified
What is repair interval B?
3 consecutive days
What is repair interval C?
10 consecutive days
What is repair interval D?
120 consecutive days
Can the company extend the repair intervals?
Yes, but only once
What is a “Go-If” failure?
MEL permits dispatch under certain conditions such as Limitations/Ops procedure/Maintenance actions.
What is a “Go” failure?
MEL permits dispatch with no limitations
What is the one Maintenance message on the Status page the you cannot dispatch with?
AIR BLEED MAINTENANCE
When should you record maintenance messages?
In the tech log at the end of the day if after checking no maintenance action is needed. If maintenance action is required inform MOC and add to the tech log as soon as the message appears.
How many parts of one system may be missing according to the CDL?
No more than one part of one system, unless specified
Regarding the CDL can multiple parts of different systems be missing?
Yes unless otherwise specified
