Meiosis Flashcards
Spindle fibers form
Prophase 1
Homologous chromosomes are formed
Prophase 1
Tetras are visible and have lined up along the equator
Prophase 1
Each tetrad becomes attached to the spindle fibers
Metaphase 1
Homologous chromosomes are pulled apart
Anaphase 1
One pair ford to the one polar end while the other goes to the other end
Anaphase 1
Cytokinesis takes place
Telophase 1
The cell divides
Telophase 1
New spindle fibers form around the chromosomes
Prophase 2
Chromosomes line up along the equator
Metaphase 2
Attach the centromere to the spindle fibers
Metaphase 2
The centromere divides and the chromatids separate
Anaphase 2
Each chromatids becomes it on chromosomes with their own centromere
Anaphase 2
The nuclear envelope forms around each set of chromosomes
Telophase 2
Cell undergoes cytokinesis
Telophase 2
