Insertion: pectineal line of femur
Action: Hip adduction, flexion
Innervation: Femoral & obturator nerves (L2-4)
Adductor Longus
Origin: body of pubis
Insertion: Middle 1/3 linea aspera of femur
Action: Hip adduction, flexion
Innervation: Obturator nerve (L2-4)
Adductor Brevis
Origin: Inferior pubic ramus
Insertion: Upper 1/3 linea aspera of femur
Action: Hip adduction, flexion
Innervation: Obturator nerve (L2-4)
Adductor Magnus
Origin: Ischiopubic ramus (adductor part) and ischial tuberosity (hamstring part)
Insertion:
Add - Linea aspera, medial supracondylar line
Ham - Adductor tubercle, medial supracondylar line
Action: Hip adduction &
Add - flexion, medial rotation
Ham - extension, lateral rotation
Innervation: Obturator nerve (L2-4)
Gracilis
Origin: Body of pubis, ischiopubic ramus
Insertion: Anteromedial proximal tibia
Action: Hip adduction, flexion, knee flexion, medial rotation
Innervation: Obturator nerve (L2, L3)
