histology
analysis of tissue samples
precision
same result if test is repeated
accuracy
correct result
sensitivity

Complete Blood Count - hemoglobin - *red cell indicies - *white blood cells (WBC) and differential - *platelets *cells
hemoglobin
concentration of protein/volume
hematocrit
proportion (%) of blood occupied by RBC (red cells) - anemia
MCV
mean corpuscular volume - microcytic, normocytic, macrocytic
RDW
distribution of red cell widths, indicates something
MCHC
mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration

not part of CBC - new blood cells (almost RBC) - increase when bone marrow is stressed - decreased when bone marrow isn’t working
WBC
white blood cells - total - differential - how many of the common cells are in the blood
MPV
mean platelet count - how many, what they look like
INR/PTT
- ability of blood to clot (can be high or low) - fibrinogen can be measured too
