Intradermal
Admin of med thru injection into dermis (below epi). Longest absorption. Used for anesthesia, tuberculin, sensitivity tests such as allergies,
Intramuscular (IM)
Admin of meds thru injection into muscle
Intravenous (IV)
Admin of meds thru injection into veins. Immediate effects
IV Piggyback
Admin of meds thru primary IV (Lower). Med hanged higher.
Oral
Admin of med taken by mouth. Absorbed in the stomach or small intestine. Slow onset but more prolonged
Parenteral
Amin of med thru any method but oral.

Sublingual (SL)
Admin of med by placeing under the tongue for fast absorbtion. Nitrogylcerin - Vasodialator or Angia - Chest Pain
Topical
Admin of med by skin or mucous membrane. Eyes, ears, nose, rectum, vagina, lungs. Vicks
Transdermal Patch
Admin of med thru patch that contains slow releasing med with prescribed dose. Nicotine Patch, Fentonyl (pain relief), Clonide (High BP)
