we can plot the course taken by the object by recording its position in each frame. By knowing the frame rate or having measuring equipment within the video we can work out velocity, distance etc.

What is strobe photography?

a technique where a camera has a long exposure time , in which a strobe flashes repeatedly taking photos. The final photo contains a projectiles whole journey in series of positions.
