What does symmetry mean in terms of distributions?
50% of the cases are on each side of the centre line
What causes skewed dispersions?
Departures from symmetry in Skewed distributions caused by extremely high or low percentages.
What causes departures from bell shape in Peaked or Flat distributions?
Departures from bell shape in Peaked or Flat distributions caused by clustering of percentages in middle or tails.
What are Measures of Variability or Dispersion?
The extent to which percentages are spread out in a distribution.
How do you calculate the Range Division?
Divide the range by 6.
Why divide the range by 6 to get the range division?
Why six? … Because six standard deviations encompass almost the entire distance between highest and lowest percentages in a (normal) distribution.
