Means of measurement Flashcards
1
Q
Time sampling
A
How long do you perform the target bx
- more efficient than continuous obs
- obs restricted to time intervals
2
Q
By product
A
what happens after the bx
3
Q
Types of measurement
A
- Direct self-report inventories
- Self-recording
- Direct systematic naturalistic observations
- SUDS scales
- Bx checklists
- Rating scales
- Simulated observation (bx avoidance test)
- Role playing
- Physiological measurement (heart rate - checking pulse)
4
Q
SUD scale
A
Measures intensity of covert bx – anxiety
- Range from 0-100 or sometimes 0-10
- 0 = no anxiety
- 100 = highest
- Subjective - relevant only for individual client
- Collect series on SUDS ratings, graph them to provide overall picture
