This is an estimate of the standard deviation of the residuals. It measures the average amount that the observed responses deviate from the regression line.

how is a regression model used to make predictions?

We can use information from the regression model output to create a formula we can use to make predictions.

Line of best fit = straight line -> y = mx+c

eg predicted pulse rate = 3.74 * bike speed + 73.4

what are coefficients?

Co-efficients contain the information required to build the line of best fit (the slope and the y-intercept).
