Q

Purpose of the multidisciplinary team

A

-the team usually comes into operation when the local school-based team (cst) has conducted a screening ans suspects a disability. Once that is determined, the MDT takes over.
The MDT’s major objectives is to bring together many disciplines and professional perspectives to help work on a case so that a single person is not required to determine ans assimilate all of the factors that affect a particular child.
