Age equivalent
age equivalent is a comparison of your child’s performance compared to age groups whose average scores are in the same range.
Chronological age
Any time you test a child, perhaps the most important piece of information you must obtain is the child’s age at the time of the testing,
Data
represents info gathered and collected during the assessment process.
Deciles
each of ten equal groups into which a population can be divided according to the distribution of values of a particular variable
Grade equivalent
general score that is used to compare the performance of the children in the same grade with one another. estimates grade level that corresponds to a given score.
Percentile rank (percentile)
The percentile rank of a score is the percentage of scores in its frequency distribution that are equal to or lower than it.

Raw score
an individual’s actual achievement score (as on a test) before being adjusted for relative position in the test group.
Scaled scores
A scaled score is a raw score that has been adjusted and converted to a standardized scale.
Standard score
an individual test score expressed as the deviation from the mean score of the group in units of standard deviation.
Stanine
Stanine stands for standard nine and is any of the nine statistical units from a scale of 1 to 9 which is used to indicate a performance level on a psychological or educational test.
T score
Is another way to express test perfomance. Have the mean of 50 with a standard deviation of 10.
z score
Indicates how many students deviations a score is above or below the mean. A z score is standard score distrubution with a mean of zero and a standarad deviation of one.
