Q
The WFD at its infancy appear to show some reprocess ions as a result of defining an area as coastal, when it may be transitional. What are they?
A
- Fish - monitored in transitional and freshwaters, not coastal which reduces the degree of monitoring required
- Differences in ecological management between countries who define waters as coastal or transitional.
