Safety: ID IDLH/ threat
Size up: determine need for add. Resources, # of victims
Send: radio report, request alarm based on # of pts (ems Task Force, 1st and 2nd alrm), activate RHCC (regional Healthcare coordination center), announce with pt tracking will be used.
Set up: ID staging area, ID and announce scene access and egress
Start: initiate triage
What is 1st OIC responsibilities?
Until relieved by chief, Staging Manager
8, 9, 10 report to staging
Establish staging area
Use the staging manager form
Respond to requests for resources
If multiple transportation areas, direct transport units to appropriate transport area as directed by Trans Group Supervisor
Ensure units leaving staging area switch to appropriate channel
Advise ops section when resources are low
Who is Transportation Group
1st transport unit, 1st EMS sup, 2nd and 7th Suppressions
Who is Medical Communications Coordinator?
Established by OIC of 1st transport unit once relieved of role of Trans Group supervisor
Who is transport recorder?
Driver of 1st Transport
Transport loaders?
2nd and 7th suppression personnel
Who is Triage unit leader,
Established by 1st Suppression OIC. Reports to Medical Group Supervisor and supervises triage crews and porters
Assigned are 1st and 5th suppression
Responsibilities
Obtain Yriage Unit Leader Command Board
Designate the casualty Collection Poiny (CCP)
Direct walking wounded
If transport units unavailable, direct porters to move red tag pts through PEP to Transport area
Obtain PT counts to med group sup
On med Group channel
Who is treatment unit leader
4th suppression OIC
Obtain TLCB
ID Treatment areas
Coordinate PT movement with med group sup
Maintain count of pts in treatment areas
Direct loaders and ambo crews to appropriate area manager
