Q

What was the fate of maximilian kolbe

A

a man from his camp escaped – to deter others from doing the same, ten men were chosen to be starved to death in Block 13. Kolbe comforted the ten men by leading them in song and mass. One of the 10 men was Franciszek Gajowniczek who screamed in terror “No, I will never see my wife and children again!’ Kolbe volunteered to take his place, saying that he had no children. His request was accepted.
