Lay person
An ordinary member of church (not ordained) who wishes to carry out the mission of the church
Who are the Laity
all members who are not part of the clergy, usually including any non-ordained members of religious orders, e.g. monks, priests

What is human dignity
The idea that every person is made in gods image so that all life is sacred
What is solidarity
The idea that we are all part of one human family, and we have the responsibility to care for others
What is the common good
The idea of working beyond our own personal interests
What is the preferential option for the poor
The idea if prioritising the women, men and children most vunerable to extreme poverty and injustice
What is Solidarity
The idea that every person has the right to participate in decisions that affect their own lifes
What is participation
The idea of voluntary and generous engagement of activities promoting the common good
What is the ‘care for our common home’
The idea are all part of creation and must protect and take responsibility of other and our environment
List 5 ways a catholic may live out CST in their daily lives (i am ryan gosling)
- Help others even if it is an inconveniance
- Donations to charity or aiding the sick and vunerable
- Having respect for the environment and the earth
- Do not treat strangers like enemies, treat them with warmth and kindness
- do not judge others, we are all part of one family
List 3 ways you can carry out CST in your life
- Dont litter ( i will come for you )
- Give compassion to those who are alone
- simple acts of kindnes e.g. opening doors or compliments
