-Comprises those methods concerned with the analysis of a subset of data leading to predictions or inferences about the entire set of data.
Inferential Statistics
-Values that are obtained by measuring.
-Examples: Height, weight, temperature

-Values that are obtained by counting.
-Examples: Number of students in the batch, Number of subjects in a grade level, Number of participants
Discrete
-Values that can be ordered or ranked.
-Examples: Grades in a subject, Educational Attainment, Socioeconomic status
