Math Geomantry Flashcards
Angle
An angle is a union of two rays with a common endpoint called the bertex
Acute
A angle less than 90 degreees
Right angle
equal to 90 degrees
Obtuse
Angle that is greater then 90 degrees but lower then 180
straight angle
exactly 180 degrrees
Ray
A ray is a part of a line with one endpoint it extends forever in. one direction
Complementary
Two angles whose sum of their measure is 90 degrees the two angles also form a right angle
supplementary
Two angles whose sum of their measure is 180 degrees the two angles form a straight angle
Vertical angles
Two angles that are opposite of each other they are formed by two intersticting angles
Adjacent angles
Two angles that have a common vertex and a common side but they don’t overlap
Transeveral
A line that intersects two or more other lines to form eight or more angles
Alternat interior angles
Angles on opposite sides of the transerversal and between the lines
Alternate exterior angles
anges of opposite sides of the transerveral and outside the lines
corresponding angles
angles that are in the same location of each intersection in the figure
