Math Addition 2 Flashcards
Find the area of a triangle with a base of 12cm and a height of 8cm
Area= 1/2×base×height
Area=1/2×12×8= 48cm²
Find the value of sin 30°
1/2
You are given a right angled triangle with one leg = 6cm and the hypotenuse = 10cm. To find the other leg use Pythagoras theorem
a²+b²=c²
6²+b²=10²
36+b²=100
100-36=64
Square root of 64= 8cm
You are given a triangle with a base= 10cm and height= 8cm. Find area
A= 1/2 × base×height
A= 1/2×10×8=40cm²
Area of a Circle: What is the area of a circle with a radius of 7 cm?
Area = π × 7² = 49π ≈ 153.86 cm²
Area of a Circle: Calculate the area of a circle with a diameter of 10 cm.
Diameter = 10 cm, so Radius = 10/2 = 5 cm; Area = π × 5² = 25π ≈ 78.50 cm²
Area of a Circle: A circle has an area of 50π. What is its radius?
Area = πr² = 50π, so r² = 50, therefore r = √50 ≈ 7.07 cm
Area of a Triangle: What is the area of a triangle with a base of 8 cm and a height of 5 cm?
Area = 1/2 × base × height = 1/2 × 8 × 5 = 20 cm²
Area of a Triangle: Calculate the area of a triangle with a base of 12 cm and a height of 7 cm.
Area = 1/2 × 12 × 7 = 42 cm²
Area of a Triangle: A triangle has an area of 30 cm² and a height of 10 cm. What is its base?
Area = 1/2 × base × height; Base = (2 × Area) / height = (2 × 30)/10 = 6 cm
Perimeter of a Rectangle: What is the perimeter of a rectangle with a length of 12 cm and a width of 4 cm?
Perimeter = 2 × (length + width) = 2 × (12 + 4) = 32 cm
Perimeter of a Rectangle: Calculate the perimeter of a rectangle with a length of 15 cm and a width of 10 cm.
Perimeter = 2 × (15 + 10) = 2 × 25 = 50 cm
Perimeter of a Rectangle: Find the perimeter of a rectangle with a length of 20 cm and a width of 6 cm.
Perimeter = 2 × (20 + 6) = 2 × 26 = 52 cm
