Terbutaline
A
- Bronchodilators: COPD/asthma
- Delays labor by suppressing contractions
- position on side to increase placental perfusion
- SE: tacky, tremors, angina, restlessness

Oxytocin
A
- Induces labor and stimulates muscle contractions
- Helps deliver placenta and PP bleeding
- STOp if contractions longer than 60 seconds and if frequency more than 2-3 minute apart
- AE: uterine rupture and panful contrations

Misoprostol
A
- Prostaglandin
- Cervical ripening agent
- Prevent gastric ulcers
- Contraindicated if getting meds to stimulate contractions, Hx C-section, Abnormal fetal HR or uterine tachysystole
- Oral, vaginally, rectal (PPH only)

Nifedipine
A
CC blocker
- Delays later by suppressing contractions
- Monitor BP

Magnesium sulfate
A
- CNS depressant
- Antiseizure
- Preventing/controlling seizures in moms with preeclampsia/ecplampsia
- Prevent preterm labor
- Antidote: Calcium gluconate
- Always IV infusion
- Magnesium toxicity if: decreased TDR, rasp depression, UO < 30mL/hr
