- Two groups of 44, one control group and one group of thieves caught stealing
- None of the control group experienced separation
- 14 of the thieves were classed as ‘affectionless psychopaths’
- 86% of affectionless thieves had experienced early seperations from their mother in comparison to 17% of the other thieves
