Mass/popular culture refers to the cultural products that are produced as entertainment for sale to the mass/ordinary people.

MASS-PRODUCED, STANDARDISED (all the same) products with no lasting value.

SPECIALIST CULTURE PRODUCTS seen as lasting and of high LITERARY or ARTISTIC value.
Who admires High Culture?
Intellectuals and usually the upper class.
