What checks must be conducted with the crew seat?
- Sit in the crew seat
- Adjust, fasten and release harness/seatbelt
- Ensure seat pan retracts automatically
- Restow seatbelt/harness
How should the interphone function be checked?
The left hand side crew member calls the right hand side crew member and requests to be called back. Right hand side crew member calls left hand side crew member back.
How is the PA function tested?
Each crew member tests PA system

Position themselves throughout the cabin to assist and proactively encourage passengers to stow their bags.
How should wheelie bags be stowed on A350 and B787 aircraft?
On their sides with the wheels to the back of the locker.

Stowage, Quantity, and Security Check.
What does the Stowage check involve?
A physical check that equipment is correctly stowed in a bracket or protective stowage and is in the correct location as per the placard or Portable Equipment Location Diagram (PELD).
What does the Quantity check involve?
Ensuring the correct piece of equipment is present and in the right quantity.
What does the Security Check involve?
Inspecting the stowage to ensure nothing has been hidden.
