Manoeuvres Flashcards
Approach to Stall or Stall Recovery
- DISENGAGE
- PUSH
- ROLL
- THRUST
- STABLE
Rejected Takeoff (RTO)
- Call STOP
- Close thrust levers and disconnect auto-throttle
- Verify operation of RTO auto brakes or apply maximum manual wheel brakes
- Raise Speedbrake lever
- Apply maximum reverse thrust on symmetric engines.
Ground Proximity Caution
Correct the flight path or airplane configuration
Ground Proximity Warning
- Disengage Autopilot
- Disengage autothrottle
- Aggressively apply maximum thrust
- Simultaneously roll wings level and rotate to an initial pitch attitude of 20°
- Retract Speedbrakes
IF terrain remains a threat:
-Continue rotation up to the pitch limit indicator or stick shaker or initial buffet
-Do not change gear or flap configuration until terrain separation is assured
Traffic Advisory (TA)
-Look for traffic using traffic display as guide. Call out any conflicting traffic
IF traffic is sighted:
-Manoeuvre if needed
*Manoeuvres based solely on a TA may result in reduced separation and are not recommended
Resolution Advisory (RA)
IF manoeuvring is required:
- Disengage autopilot and autothrottle
- Smoothly adjust pitch and thrust to satisfy the RA command
- Follow the planned lateral flight path unless visual contact with the conflicting traffic requires other actions
Windshear Caution
-Manoeuvre as required to avoid windshear
Windshear Escape Manoeuvre (Manual Flight)
- Disengage autopilot
- Push TO/GA switch
- Aggressively apply maximum thrust
- Disconnect autothrottle
- Simultaneously roll wings level and rotate towards an initial pitch attitude of 15°
- Retract Speedbrakes
- Follow flight director TO/GO guidance
- Do not change gear or flap configuration until windshear is no longer a factor
Windshear Escape Manoeuvre (Automatic Flight)
- Press either TO/GA switch
- Verify TO/GA mode annunciation
- Verify GA thrust
- Retract Speedbrakes
- Monitor system performance
- Do not change gear or flap configuration until windshear is no longer a factor
