Equal to 30 minutes holding at 1500’ AAL, based on aircrafts planned landing weight at the alternate airport.

If CFP is not available use set figures:

Q

In-flight reduction of normal fuel required?

A
  1. Enroute and prior to descent for destination airport:
    - Airport has 2 independent runways suitable for landing.(not reciprocal or crossing)
    - Actual and Forecast weather for ETA at the destination airport indicate weather conditions at or above the Non-Precision Minima for filing as an alternate and the x-wind within limits.
    - There are no known or probable ATC delays.
    - Fuel remaining is sufficient to:
    i. Continue to destination.
ii. Plus 5% Contingency fuel from overhead or abeam the last suitable ERA.
iii. Plus 30 minutes holding at 1500’ AAL.
iv. Complete an approach and landing.
  2. After commencing descent:
    - allowable as long as aircraft lands with at-least final reserve fuel.
