Approach to stall

A

Disengage AT and AP
Nose down until buffet or stick shaker stops
Roll wings level
Advance thrust as needed
Retract speedbrake
Do not change config unless if taking off with flaps up, call flap 1
Complete recovery

PM monitor and verify actions, call our any trend toward terrain contact

A

Disengage AP and AT
Aggressively apply max thrust
Simultaneously roll wings level and pitch to 20deg
Retract speedbrake
If terrain still a threat, increase pitch to PLI
Do not change config until terrain clearance assured

  • AOB greater than 45deg
  • less than above but flying at an air speed inappropriate for the conditions
