What are the things to do before?

A
  • Deconflict any other shipboard activity
  • Prepare RAMS, read OCP
  • Conduct MSTF Pre-Ops Brief, check 4
  • Ensure Deck Officer is present
  • Ensure working-at-height climbing supervisor is present
  • Check CAT status and ensure wind < 15 knots
  • Proper PPE: Long 4, safety boots, seaman gloves and safety harness (Check expiry)
  • Ensure no wet hands and all tools to be kept in working bag attached with safety line
  • Fly Kilo (Wharf side), Interco Romeo Yankee (Seaward side)
  • Inform sister ship and ensure they fly Interco RY on their seaward side
  • Pipe “No transmission x3. No transmission of all radar and radio equipment, man working aloft.”
  • Ensure “Do not transmit, working aloft” displlayed on radar and comms equipment.
  • Turn on Man Working Aloft switch (in ER1)
  • Ensure LOTO of (Radar, Radio [ER1]/ Radar Scanner/ Radio Operating Console/ SATCOM/ Ship Horn)
  • Inform IOC before commencement

  • Ensure reminder pipe every 15 mins

- Continue to monitor CAT status and safety of personnel
