Public speaker.He spoke with a lot of conviction and passion.
Before his assassination, Malcolm came to believe
Integration with whites might be possible, as his pilgrimage to Mecca in April 1964 demonstrated that Muslims of different races could be united in their faith.
In 1964 Malcolm left the
Nation of Islam as he began to challenge the NOI’s ideas about islam and race.

In a speech in June 1964 Malcolm X preached that
Black people should defend themselves by “ any means necessary”He criticised those who argued for non violence, he said white Americans would never allow equality unless it was forced
When Malcolm X left the NOI he started his own religious group called the
Musim Mosque Inc (MMI)
He decided to work with
Other civil rights groups and set up the Organisation of Afro American Unity.(OAAU) in 1964.
