sporozoites make their way to the liver cell and infect it

schizont
stage 4 (liver)
schizont ruptures, releasing parasite into blood
stage 5 (human blood stage, erythrocytic cycle)
trophozoites start immature and then mature
stage 6 (blood)
trophozoites may form a schizont and rupture again
stage 7 (blood)
mature trophozoites may develop into gameotcytes
stage 8 (mosquito stage, sporogonic cycle)
mosquito bites human, ingests gametocytes
stage 9 (mosquito)
microgamete(male) enters macrogamete(female)
stage 10
ookinete is formed
stage 11 (mosquito)
oocyst develops
stage 12 (mosquito)
oocyst ruptures, releases sporozoites
