What is Malaria?
A
Malaria is a life-threatening blood disease caused by parasites transmitted to humans through the bite of the Anopheles mosquito.

What are the signs/symptoms on maleria?
A
Similar to flu. High temperature, headache, fever.
Symptoms appear about two weeks after mosquito has infected them.

How can we prevent malaria?
A
Take anti malaria tablets.
Wear long sleeve shirts, pants and shoes and socks - especially at night.
Mosquito nets over the bed.
Mosquito screens on windows and doors.
Burning mosquito coils or citronella oil candles.
